There has been a lot of adjustments here lately but I know I can make it successfully with an ACE. I’ve been confronted with a lot more challenges here every now and then but I’m facing with them boldness and steadfastness of spirit. Of course He is always here with me no matter the time and place. More so, the love and support that my parents, loved ones, and true friends have for me is insurmountable. These are the things which keep me alive in a land away from my comfort zones. Surely, I CAN and WILL make it with an ACE!
This is the power of positive mental conditioning. Smiles

I Can Make IT!
Monday, February 8th, 2010Parents are the Best Teachers?
Friday, March 6th, 2009Parents are the best teachers. Do you concur to this idea? If not, on what grounds don’t you agree? Haven’t you learned many good things from your parents? This same idea was brought up to me when I had my teachers’ training several years ago for a special examinations instructor. I had this topic on our essay writing session. I indeed wrote a 250 word essay on this topic. I thought my ideas were only left on the paper but as I went looking for my life and success, I found out that what I wrote on that piece of paper were the same values I’ve learned from my loving parents which serves as my guide now that I am out of my comfort zones. More so as I’ve got to live on my own now, I found out that I’m living the way my parents raised me up as child. The values they taught me when I was a young girl helped me in my decision making and most especially how I should behave with other people now that I’m in a foreign land. Indeed, I can say that I’m so proud of my parents for molding my young mind as I was in my vulnerable and delicate years. Without them, I’d be like a sheep going nowhere without direction and aim in life.
I Had Fun with My Kids and Middle School Studes Today
Sunday, March 1st, 2009Today is no different from my other weekends here. I got observed by a parent in my second class in the afternoon. I guess it didn’t go well with us since I only played little games with them and I don’t know if the parent enjoyed my class. Well, that smile on her face was enough to tell me everything was okay with her. I just love my second elementary studes class’ coz they are all brainy and receptive in the class. I could see real enthusiasm painted on their faces every time we see each other. In fact, on of my students was so early – Karen and she was the one who won in the English speaking contest here in our place. Pretty proud for her as well. Her mother really gave me a gift after that. Grins.
Well for my middle school studes this afternoon was really great having them. Five of them in my class and we only have one boy – Tom whom we often mistakenly call ‘her/she’ instead of ‘he/him’. Smiles. The class was pretty receptive and eager to chat this afternoon. There was never been a dull moment in the class. That made me took a sort of breather with them after a long but rewarding day with my elementary studes in the morning. Smiles.
Happy to Have a Breather
Thursday, February 19th, 2009Today is the first day of my week here at school but luckily I haven’t got any class tonight. I still went early to school as always and prepared for my week’s lesson plans. I usually make LPs before the busiest days – Saturdays and Sundays. I need to otherwise; I’d be having disastrous classes at the end of the day. Grins. I’d better be prepared in every battle than catching myself empty handed. Chances are that I can be shoot to death easily like in a matter of seconds. Smiles.
We Enjoyed Tonight
Friday, February 6th, 2009Today is the last day of my early learners’ class with my toddler students. They are really lovely and quick learners. I just love them simply because they are so true and angelic. Tonight we had a thorough review of all the lessons within the term. I was so surprised they memorized everything! WOW! Really young children have very good memory. They remember all the actions, songs, rhymes, and vocabulary I taught. On the second half of our class, their parents joined and they had fun with us too not to mention my assistant who always enjoys this class. Before I said goodbyes to my little kids their mothers came to me and thanked me wholeheartedly for teaching their kids foreign language. Their child speaks more at home and shares the action stories learned in school. These, I can say, are my inspirations here as I have more or less seven months more to go before I come home soon.
Brokenhearted
Friday, January 2nd, 2009Have you experienced being in love and torn apart with somebody whom you loved the most? This afternoon I’ve chatted with my dearest friend and ex-colleague and she told me a very long story about her love life as she has just broke up with her boyfriend recently. After that long chat, I realized that keeping a relationship alive doesn’t take only one side instead it has to be both parties taking part of watering it like plants do need enough sunshine and water. Well, as she said that it has all been done and what’s most important now is to move on. After all, the show must go on in spite of all the things that happened.
Excited to Go!
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008I woke up so early this morning to do the laundry so as to exercise my body. I washed my sneakers and some clothes from the recent magnificent trip we had in Wuyi City. Today I have to go to school early as we have our regular meeting and besides I need to prepare for the weekend’s battles. Despite these realities, still, I am so excited by now just thinking of our upcoming trip again for a six-day-holiday. We are going to Shanghai and Hangzhou three days respectively. Wooohooo!
Phone Call
Friday, December 12th, 2008The phone rang while I was mopping the floor this afternoon. I hurriedly went to the study room and picked it up. It was my headmaster who told me about the organized trip tomorrow morning. He told me that we need to bring our respective swimming wear and passport to book for a hotel in Wui. It’s a place three hours drive by bus from my place. All my students told me that Wui is really a splendid place and it’s very famous for its hot springs. In fact they told me that place has got fifteen swimming pools for the tourists and the locals. After we talked, I felt more thrilled thinking of the upcoming trip.
Even now I’m still thinking of what to bring and what to do in there. They said part of the itinerary is the rejuvenating Thai massage, trekking in the splendid asylum, and swimming in the relaxing pool. Truly, there is nothing much more stimulating than thinking of the excursion tomorrow. Grins.
I Am Excited!
Monday, December 8th, 2008I dismissed my class today last since they took too long time cracking the crossword puzzle I gave after playing Jenga. We somehow enjoyed playing Jenga since it’s really exhilarating especially when it comes to the point where a block could collapse everything down. Eventually, the girls won over the boys and we all clapped hands for the girls though it wasn’t good for the other team.
After my class I hurriedly went to the office as I have to prepare everything and leave for home. Aside from being so hungry, I am too thrilled to update my site on the Internet. That seems to be my only happiness here as I am far away from my comfort zones now. So, going back, when I got in the office, my colleagues were busy discussing about the impending trip organized by the school. The best thing is that they are going to pay it for us. All we have to do is to go with them in a place which is very famous for hot springs here named Wui. It’s in the itinerary that we are going to have Thai massage, trekking, swimming, and complete sightseeing all over the place which makes us all so enthusiastic about it. We are going to leave Wui this coming Tuesday at half past seven in the morning and we coming back on Wednesday afternoon just enough to make the most of our time there. This place is three hours drive by bus from my place so it’s not far at all and it’s an ideal destination for a trip.
After all, I just hope that everything is going to be alright with us this Tuesday and that the good weather would be great for us to go sightseeing. We are just up to the fun and the relaxation of experiencing the heavenly place as my students said.
A Debt Must be Paid
Friday, December 5th, 2008If somebody owes you some money and just played to forget every time you asked him about the debt. What would be your reaction and what would you do? Are you going to be fuming mad and start a clash with him? Or are you going to gradually make him realize that a debt must be paid? Has this situation happened to you or to your family and or friends? How did you/they solve it?
Just recently I chatted with my friend and I’ve learned that he has allowed our common friend to borrow a certain amount of money almost a year ago and even now she hasn’t given back the amount. Our common friend often plays to forget the responsibility and she often goes invisible mode when online. Seldom to answer calls and texts for her main reason is busyness. Well, I do agree we could be busy at times but we should never forget that a debt must be paid and as much as possible it needs to be on time. For it is a product of hard work and sweat, it must be paid and never be forgotten.
Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not?
