Saturday, June 12th, 2010My hands are full at the moment and there are so much to think about before the school year ends in two weeks from now. I just hope that we can accomplish everything before we can’t even think about it. All I need is cooperation and everything will follow. I just hope. 
I think I won’t be able to update this site more often. Well, I’ll see with my time if I can still connect at my flat since it’s been my problem since last month. Urgh, sighs! 
The Beauty of Language Differences
Monday, June 29th, 2009The beauty of language difference is that people tend to really try hard to be understood. One instance was this afternoon when I was about to order my dinner. I was so hungry for we had training on effective games and activities in class and we cleaned the office and got all the clutter out of the building. After I was done with my work, I went directly to the front desk and asked one staff to order my food. I told her to get some aubergine with pork [not spicy please…] and a separate rice; she said she understood me but a few seconds she blurted out what’s aubergine? I described it to her thoroughly and easily yet she cannot figure the veggie out so I tried to get a marker and draw it for her. After I talked with her I felt hungrier than ever. Gosh! If only I know how to speak their mother tongue my life would’ve been perfect in here.
